Ray St. Francis, Project Manager
Raymond St.Francis is a project manager who joined ScottAG in 2004, after a decade of managing diverse projects in his own architectural design and project management firm. With a background in managing both design and construction challenges, Ray brings to our team a high level of professional service and relevant experience. Among his clients were GTE Wireless and its successor, Verizon Wireless, for whom he implemented the rapid expansion of their Northern California retail build-out program encompassing 60 stores, and including the replacement of all signage and identity components. For Qlogic Corporation, Freemark Abbey Winery, and Yakpak APT Stores, Ray applied his expertise in problem-solving and facilitation to deliver projects that responded to their programmatic, budget and schedule constraints.
Earlier in his career, Ray worked for the Real Estate & Construction Division of IBM, for whom he managed projects ranging from regional office tenant fit-up to high-rise building logo signage to IBM Store re-imaging under Paul Rand. Prior to IBM, Ray worked for Saul Bass in Los Angeles, where he assisted in developing the new service station program for Exxon Corporation and managed its initial prototype series in Japan and Hong Kong.
A registered architect, Ray has worked at many scales of design and fabrication. While the scope may vary, his enthusiasm for analyzing the challenge and devising a logical solution to meet it is a constant of his management approach. He is the firm's resource for seeing that the design goals are realized in the final installation and is the day-to-day contact for the client throughout the process.
Currently, Ray is coordinating numerous aspects of signage and identity for Federal Realty's Santana Row, a 30 acre office, retail and residential development in San Jose, California. He is also at work on our portion of the Eastridge Mall Renovation in the same city, a major update to the 1.3MSF shopping center where we are adding monument and site directional signage, along with building entry and signature beacon elements for General Growth Properties.
